Simon Blessed, 42, from Worsbrough, Barnsley, was hit by a car after running on to the southbound carriageway following a crash.
His camper van had collided with a lorry and a car and turned over on the northbound carriageway moments earlier.
new you from school a great guy and missed by loads of us, i remember especially you with the scooters and my cousin jeff!! rest in peace buddy!!!
my late teens were spent with simon doing the scooter rallies and hanging out.I could never be bored or feel down when he was around cos he wouldnt let me,he always had something for us to do or a place for us to go.Some of the memories he left me with are priceless and i wouldnt swap them for anything,i think of him from time to time and always end up smiling.....He was my friend.
Sadly missed
Time may have gone on but you are still missed by loads. I will always remember the good times we had, even though it was only for a short while.
